It's that time of the year again.  Leaves are turning and falling and so are the temperatures.  Cool snaps are coming more often.  It's time to drag out the winter clothes, see what still fits, and shop for what doesn't.  Pull out the galoshes, rubber boots, slickers and rain hats. With my little girl growing as fast as she is, I can't keep up with clothes.  I have recently found a few websites where I have gotten some neat patterns for little fleece pants.  She now has camo, grey, and red.  They are extremely simple, and awesomely cute.  Easy to alter to fit over cloth diapers and lightweight enough to not be bulky in a carseat.  You can even add extra layers if you want thicker, warmer pants.  Do you sew for your kids? If you do, what are some of your favorite sites and patterns that you use?  Share the knowlege here and maybe a few pics as well!

Check out these websites if you would like to sew your own fleece pants:

Over the last few days, I have been so busy I was afraid I would meet myself coming and going.  I haven't really slowed down at all.  It is just a hectic time of the year around here.  Hubby works away from home and we farm as well.  So, when  hubby is gone to work, if something has to get done, guess what...  Anywho, we have been picking cotton, servicing the combine for soybean cutting, I have been working on custom orders for diapers, took part in a local fall festival, getting my son to school every day, etc.  You moms know how it is.  You never have just one thing on your plate.(If that were true, Calgon would be a very busy company!)  If you have little ones at home, little ones in school, extra curricular activities, possibly a job of your own, you feel as if you could give Superman a run for his money.  This morning as my son was getting ready for school, it was "Mom, grab my phone!" and "Mom, where's my billfold??!" or "Mom, where's my belt?", and calmy(yeah, right!) I stand in the hallway, goodies in hand trying to quickly shove him out the door as the bus horn blows(and not just any horn, a train horn).  You would think at his age he could keep up with something on his own.  Well, as most moms do, I just grin and bear it, along with the laundry, dishes, diapers, baseball, groceries......  Pull out the Supermom drawers!  It's gonna be one of those days!

With the beginning of fall comes a change in wardrobe for our little ones.  For those of us who choose to cloth diaper, we have to contend with "big butt" syndrome.  Many of the new fabrics available do make for trim diapers, especially the AI2 styles.  I am now a big fan of wicking jersey in my AI2's, and also suedecloth.  Very nice fabrics to work with.  I have asked this question on Facebook, but didn't get much return.  What are your favorite diaper styles and why?  I would like to be able to create a diaper that each of you want to have in your stash.
